Diesel Drags - June 18th - Near Billings, Montana
 

I see that the drag strip in Acton, Montana has a Diesel Drag Challenge scheduled for June 18th.

Sounds like fun; I plan on going (and racing) and it sounds like some of the local guys (Kalispell, Montana) are going to go and race. It would be nice to have a good turn out and meet some fellow diesel heads.

Yay! The first post that's counted toward your post count. ;) Unfortunately 1604.13 miles one way is kind of far for an afternoon of racing. It would be fun though!

Anybody plan on making it to this?

I'm going and know of at least two other diesels from this area (Kalispell, MT) that are also going to race. I emailed the track today and confirmed that the Diesel Drags and E. T. Brackets are still a go.

I'd go but with my luck I'd have to race Augusta right off.
I don't think I could handle the stigma that would come with losing to a girl...[laugh]

WOW! Since I wasn't seeing much interest on here for this event, nor on NWBombers, I emailed the sponser, G & J Diesel out of Billings asking what kind of showing they expected... Here's the reply I received:

"WE HAVE RESPONSES FROM ALL OVER THE WEST SAYING THEY WILL BE HERE. CLINT, MIKE, KYLE FROM ATS DIESEL WILL BE HERE ALONG WITH DR. DIESEL FROM GREAT FALLS , A GROUP OF GUYS FROM DILLON, ENNIS, BUTTE, AND SOME GOOD RESPONSES FROM CANADA. WE ARE ALSO HAVING A DYNO SHOOT OUT ON FRIDAY. WE ARE DOING PAY OUTS AT THE DRAGS. NOT SURE HOW MUCH YET. IT WILL BE BASED ON TURN OUT. HOPE TO SEE YOU HERE"
