Well thanks Got Juice...

I just got an email back from Fred on this event and was going to post to see the interest level here. My business partner (EMSI) gave me Freds Addy and I was just discussing it with him..

CT performance is supposed to be out, they were at our RED Deer meet.

This event is organized by a local Duramax group and is their event. I would appreciate any members from the DTR posting here and letting me know as well as I told Fred I would report on the interest level.

Any one is welcome, but there are limited spots on the dyno.

Question HELLO?

CALGARY AREA!!!!

The date for the Dyno day in question has been set for the 19th of February. This was primarily put together by the Duramax group from the DieselPlace forum.

They have about 6 or so spots left on the dyno for the day and I spoke out quite confidently that I would be able to muster that NO PROBLEM....

Someone post here and save me from looking like a Moron!! ( I know thats asking alot! )

This is a good event and a really good dyno, this is not the same type of Dyno-breaking event that PAAL put on.. This is about good Dyno data, from a reputable shop...

If no one else steps up, I'll go!!!

I will check my schedule, but it sounds alright! The worst part about it is that I will have to take my windbag 04.5. No use putting it on the dyno. The 98 needs a little tlc before I go on a major trip. Needs a new heim joint for the DT trac bar, all 3 universals on the rear driveshaft and a steady bearing. Did I mention both front and rear pinion seals are leaking????? Motor runs like a champ though!!!!! Going to see if I actually have that weekend off.

We'll all have to meet somewhere ahead of time, then roll in together. How about Airdrie Tim Hortons, south side by Co- Op, west side of hwy 2. It's a new one, right beside Totem.

That sounds like a plan...

Greenworks, get that rig tuned up dude, there are some Smokin Dmaxs showing at this one...

My business partner has a Dmax and is the guy who got me in touch with the event organizer. I told him that I may be able to fill the empty spots.

If you guys are serious about hitting the rollers, then PM me and I will let Fred know how many are in. It is $50 for your runs on the dyno, but from the sounds of it, that will be the better part of an hour per truck with these guys.

Lil Dog do we have anybody that can run the hp that these Dmax's are running I presume it is helped by the nitrous and around the 500 hp mark?

We don't need nitrous to hit 500....or 550 either

550.5RWHP/1150 RWTQ #2 only.
Stock injects
Stock turbo
4" Exhaust
AFE stage2
Banks Wastegate tweaked for the run

POWER ADDER: 1 Box only.... VanAaken SmartboxE with 'stoopid' programming courtesy of Mark from VanAaken and PDR.

Adding Nitrous would take that near the 600 mark.

EGT's however... are slightly.... warm?

Warm.. Ya if you call 1700°F warm...

Fred is adding Water/Methanol to his 500 hp machine.

(Just to jab the v-8 guys) Lets pull from 1500 Rpm and up , not 2000

Dang dogs anyways...lol

ya ya ya we all know the CTD has an earlier torque rise than the V-8's do.... but really who pulls at 1500RPMS?

Water meth should add a few ponies .... can't wait to see what Fred's results are!

There is a good chance I'll be there. Have enough notice, I can schedule my time to accomodate it.

Does this mean I have to waste ALL the Dmax's? LOL!!!!

Guess this means I have to put the DD2's back in!! I can do it in the parking lot, only takes about 45 minutes.

Looks like there's not a lot of interest here. Oh well, lots of time.
