DHRA In Alberta July-August

Just a note on the DHRA events in our neck of the woods here in the next couple of months. Maybe we can get some of us at either one of the events in Edmonton or Calgary.

The Edmonton event on July 25-26 may have a couple members of the DTR there. There are some trucks locally that I would like to see.

The Calgary event on Aug 14-15 is having a special guest. The Bullydog rep out of Rimbey (CT Performance) is bringing up the Ford F450 6 door truck as displayed at SEMA this spring.

Bulled Elegance

Also they have their Dodge truck in the event that placed second at the Bullydog Dyno day behind Chris Sutton.

From the notes I have Chris pulled down 733 Hp and Aaron with CT put down 646 (with some giggle gas). Anyway Aaron will be competing both in Edmonton and Calgary.

I hope to see some ABDTR #5 members at these events. I will try to make both of them.

Cheers.

Boy, we sure could use the support! We'd be honored to have the ABDTR in attendance.

Is the July event on a Sunday/Monday?

Anyways, I don't see a problem (right now) with attending both of them!!

Should be a good show!

I am in Edmonton July 21-25 for the Extreme Strength challenge.
I was asked if some of the guys could come and flip over a truck.

I'll be in the Thornton Hotel.

Lacombe Days 100' Shootout.

You guys wouldn't guess who showed up to the 100' shootout in Lacombe today...

The wee man with the big Duramax . Remember the $120K truck with all the do-dads and BD this and that at the PAAL Show last year.. All he could do is smoke shows right?

Well his ego got the best of him today too. He was doing his burnout for the drag and totally goes testosterone and just blows by the tree spinning down the track.. Slow time (Beat by a FROD 6.0. ) not to mention looking like a tool.

The thing is he had a lagit shot at a good time but decided to puff up his chest and blow some rubber instead. What a ****..

I think a few of us have to see what we could do in 100' and invade the stage for some diesel power!!!

Arrow It wasn't Diesel...LOL..

GG,

Don't fret it man.. The shootout is a drag race circuit through the areas around, mostly drag race cars. There were 2 Diesel powered trucks the Frod and the Duramini.

I was thinking of entering just for fun, but a 5spd and 100' . I would probably been shifting at least twice through and not very fast. The 6.0 did good and had one of the lowest times in the street division which everyone in the stands just shook their heads. LOL..

A good CTD with a PM3 or even an Edge/ Auto would fair well I think.

Hmmm...Now I'm all curious.

Since I'm a newbie, how does this work if I'd like to attend the Calgary event? Don't know if I could get the time off for the Edmonton event, but it'd be great to meet the "infamous" Scotty! Hell, I might even manage to tear Bramha away from his instruments for a day.

Let's see...what can I bring to the table...ummm...how bout a garbage truck to haul away blown motors and trannys?

OOO!OOO! (raises hand excitedly) We can put a plastic liner in the dump body, fill er with water and have a portable pool to cool off in (either that or the worlds biggest beer cooler

Seriously, this'd be good...we've been in AB for about 4 years now, and since I work stupidly long hours building this company, I don't get much "fun" stuff to do...what more can a man want than to be geek out on diesels for a day
