The biggest problem with BD in Calgary was the staff, not the product. Everyone there that got the reputation of "being good to deal with" was canned.

I had it out with Brian Roth himself in the Calgary showroom about a warranty problem. Was basically told to go away, "you paid for it, it's yours"

Good customer relations!!!

The meet was a hoot! I have some good pictures (minus the ones Dr Evil shot with my camera...they're GREAT shots of fuzzy dark images ps you're fired). Will post them tomorrow when I find room on my server

Thanks to all who showed up; it was real nice to meet some good ol' Prairie folk! Learned some cool things (Holy Freaking Air Filters Batman! can you say BHAF??? That is SOOOOO happening on my rig)

And a very special thanks to those folks who went "searching" for the missing Trappmobile at the entrance to Red Deer......I'll explain later.

It was a good time. Got to put some names to some faces.

Never thought we could lose a garbage truck but we did. Amazing what oil will do, LOL!!!

Thanks Jason for putting it together, Thanks everyone for making the show.

Look forward to the next one.

Good to see you got home VT......

It was a good time-even with the cool day. Hopefully next time the day is warmer.

And who gave the table of schoolteachers my name? I think they thought we were planning an overthrow of government there.......

Thumbs up Thanks to everyone!!!

Wow. What a turnout for the "informal meet".. All tolled I think we had near 20 trucks from my count, not including some later drop ins.

I never imagined that many rigs.. It was good to see the regular ABC guys out as well as new faces added to the fold.

I would like to thank firstly Body Mechanic for offering up the venue and arranging our parking space.

Secondly.. VonTrapp who brought some great spirit to the group with his prizes. Really a neat idea for all of us to break the ice I thought.. (Glad you made it home in one piece!!)

Lastly to our long traveller from Sask.. Thanks Scotty for coming all the way out to see our little group. Good to see you again my friend..

As Homestead suggested, we will keep in close communication with Mckwynne in Olds to set up a Dyno day in the spring. If we could make it a more DTR specific event I would like it that way.

Again thanks for all that came and braved the cold wind for some good old fashioned Diesel Talk.

Trapp, thats the nicest garbage truck Ive seen - even though ya had to tow it home.

Thanks Dawg and Body Mechanic....had a good time despite the 3 hour "lunch"

That was a blast...Great to meet you all. Looking forward to the next one. The wife and I are looking at renting a good sized shop here in Red Deer so maybe we could set something up for the begining of the new year... even have some space inside to work on a few of the vehicles. Thanks for answering all of the questions I asked.

Great People... Great trucks.... and A great time.

Despite the cold wind I think it was a huge success. Special thanks to Lil Dog for setting it up. I can hardly wait to see what kind of door prizes Von Trapp has dreamed up for next time.

Sorry J, I have to plead guilty on that one. They grabbed me on the way by... I was looking for an out...and there you were!
Had to pass 'em off, it was every man for himself!

Thanks everyone for coming out, it was nice to meet some great people (not to mention get one HUGE air filter!)

Maybe next time we can make it a Dodge Diesel/ Strongman Competition and come up with some sponsors

I would agree with calling it a success. Interesting, informative, names to faces, new faces, nice table of teachers. Thanks to all those responsible. Look forward to the next meet; maybe in Olds. Let's hope Albert can get that dyno calibrated. 'Til then.

Sounds like you guys had fun. The Olds dyno day is something I will try my very best to make if it happens. My best friend moved to the olds area about 4-5 years ago and we would have blast at something like that. I am pumped about that meet already!!!!! Set a date. Did I mention that I am excited about that one..............
