Just stopped by and talked to the CVFD people again. They are pretty excited about the event and are looking forward to it. I think this is going to be a real good event this year, even better than last year.

COme on down, time is drawing closer.

Hello
Leigh Ann is deployed to Iraq, If you would like her address PM me and I will give it to you.
I am still planning on dynoing two trucks one being a some what stock 2001 and the other being a pretty much stock 2004
My plans are to drag the camper up to Claremount on Friday mourning and help out with the beer drinking and what ever else needs to be done that day
Joel, let me know what all you wish me to bring up with me, Geoffrey will be driving my truck and I am sure he would like as much "stuff as possible" loaded in the bed of my truck to make the ride better. PM me if you want, I have the grill and those shade thingys I can bring up if you want.
What is the chow plan for Saturday? Geoffrey and I will help out if needed.
See Ya
Chris

I'm going to have a fair amount of tools like impacts and stuff but still need an assortment of hand tools and such and any specialty things you think we may need. Need plenty of paper and plastic foodware as always. I sold my trash trailer last week so will need to rent or purchase some several big trash cans to keep the place clean. I will have some several waste oil containers avaialble. I think Butchera is bringing some several tables again.

Going to wait and see about the steaks for Friday night like we did the last time. The CVFD people already asked me about the steaks this year that they missed last year due to previous engagements. They also have huge salmon fillets in Wakefield that my son has a knack for grilling up real good too.
As far as the Saturday feed, it is still open. I can send some people to the store Saturday morning for some fresh burger and whatever else we may need if need be. Bring your choice of adult beverages and I will have a cooler full of soft drinks and stuff for the little ones (under age adults and non-alcohol preferenced personnel).

Top is getting a couple shotguns that I am going to purchase and raffle off along with a couple little tool kits and stuff like that. The other half is planning to run the raffle stuff again so a tent to keep her out of the direct sun would be cool.

The NAPA dealer right up the road in Surry has been staying open longer hours on Saturday. I will check and see how long they will be open that Saturday in case anyone needs anything.

If you have anything that someone may need at the roundup that you don't mind sharing, by all means bring it along. I'm just hoping this weather clears up and the field drys up some before then. Got a few that are planning to set up campers for the night. Sounds like we have an awsome show here if everything goes right. I'm going to meet the CVFD people at the hall about 09:00 Friday morning to get the place opened up. Most of them are working Friday but said they would come by Saturday night. Should have someone to stay at the hall once they open it up while I am moving trailers and stuff into place. Dennis and I are going to load up the GN with tools either Thursday evening or Friday morning and get it placed.

I should have both of my duallies there and we are going to attempt to get the front axle back together on my sons truck to have it ready also. Got the parts today, $1100 for two bearing hub assemblies and four ball joints. PHEW...............

Any other suggestions or ideas, send them along.

Joel

I've invited about ten diesel drivers from work. Not many of them have the HP fever so maybe we can covert them when they see the amount of HP there.

Chris,
I have heard you can fry all kinds of stuff in a turkey fryer. A friend of my uncle has been cooking hot dogs and other unlikely things in his turkey fryer. Sounded kind of strange to me, but after thinking on it for a while, I think that might be an interesting way to cook hot dogs, polish sausage, shrimp, etc.
