Unhappy Skynyrd goes to stock

Yes you heard me correctly, I just got done helping Leonard take off all of his toys. He said that fuel is just killing him, looking for a VW TDI. We know how to swap injector tips on a third gen now, getting it down to a science I'll let him tell you all the rest, not sure how he came to this decision, but this is what he told me tonight, I could not talk him out of it.

ive run the numbers before, and i do it over and over again.... it was actually cheaper as far as fuel, reg. maintenance, etc. to get the truck than it was to keep my jeep. i was filling up around $65-$70 a week on the jeep, same as the truck. plus i was doing a $70 oil change every 2 months.

sorry to hear that leonard. so you selling the truck or you just de-modding it for now?

wow, i have to buy 12 quarts of oil and a filter now and still dont spend $30 on an oil change for the truck...

$70 for the jeep, did you supply your own lube?? (im not referring to the oil either)

At $3.45/gallon here in De, i'm looking to park the truck ASAP. I'll be joining the ranks of buying a beater 4cyl. car or pickup to drive around. My truck is getting lousy mpg's right now.

Can ou drive a moped on the highway?

Bob

Yeah, but you'd have to strap you EZ-pass to your helmet. Just don't get caught peddling it down highway 1.

Love my VW. But love my 1 ton more. It will never go. Thats why the wife drives the RAM. Nine miles round trip for her. 60 miles round trip for me you all do the math. Now you know why I bought the Jetta. Just check the sign block.
