A solid aluminum stack clamp 1" thick all machined on a 3-axis CNC

I sent my buddy a 2d CAD file of the design with dimensions, and he turned it into a 3d model and gave it to his buddy with the CNC machine. This 5,6,7" versions

Looks like solid works

Do the cap screws screw in the middle section or into the small rectagular end piece.

not for sale

somebody already makes something similar and i didnt like his price, so i made my own with the help of some friends, but i will not compete with him and mass produce these.

i think he uses CATIA V5 but it might be solid works.

it goes through the middle piece, threads into the end piece, using some stainless steel 3/8"x6 1/2" allen head cap screws

Yeah, trying to get a screw and wrench behind the bed rail is a pain.

it will still be a little challenging to get the bar back there to get the screws started, but it shouldnt be too bad

Catia, thats pretty sweet.

I can't wait to see them on your truck.

You sould get something engraved on them. That would be pretty slick.

A dewalt generator that starts using an 18v battery pack from any dewalt tool...will start 200 times on one charge at 30*

Well since Desault owns both Catia and Solidworks, they are very similar.

Hey TJ, Anodized would look pretty cool, and not require cleaning.

didnt know they were owned by the same company

and anodizing is cool, but polished would look better against the chrome stack...if the stack was black, it would be look good anodized black (if thats possible)

I was actually thinking the oposite. polished with black stack and black anodized with polished stack.

Personally leaving the natural tooling marks is cool.

I will see how it looks when i get it, if the tooling marks look good i'll leave it that way
