My truck has issues....
This has happend three times in the last tree days. Just driving along normal not hammering on it or anything and the engine just shuts off. No idiot lights or guage fluxuations or anything, just shuts down. No engine stutter or noticeable noise or loss of power, unitl the engine quits like I turned the key off. Checked the codes with the 3x with key trick and this is what I get:
P0628 - Low Voltage at Fuel Lift Pump Relay
P0514 - BAT Temp Sensor Rationality
P0191 - Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Performance
Could the EZ be causing this problem? I haven't gotten under the hood yet, but I plan on disconnecting the EZ and running like that to see how it does.

82000 miles and stock pump. No fuel pressure guage. The guages I mentioned are just what's in the dash, I don't have any other guages yet. I really need to do something about that.
I am not sure. I changed mine before I ever saw trouble with it. Have it wrapped up in a box in case I ever need it. Do not think I ever will use it.
I would not want the in-tank model as it would even be harder to replace with an aftermarket one if you ever choose to go that way.

Todd, sounds like it is the LP, if it would work we can put my stock in tank one on your truck for now, if I was you I would be ordering me a Air Dog or FASS. I do not think that the LP is covered for 100k warranty. just my .02

Just talked with service rep at the local dealer and they can't say for sure if the lift pump is under warranty until I bring it in for a diagnostic check that could run $92 plus what ever parts if it isn't under warranty. But first I will take the EZ off and clear the codes, then see how things go.
TKC2000 make sure to also look at the GDP kits. They are easy to install and work well as many of us have found out.

You also have a chance to think about adding filter system to keep injectors like new..

Those were the 2 items I went with.
