Wondering if anybody from Maryland could help me out. I am looking to buy a MD lic plate, its for the gf, same first name. Were from Alberta, which borders Montana to the north. Looking for latest, good shape plate, thanks Scott.

you have to turn in tags in MD. having the plates after cancelling the insurance, even if you sell the car, gives you a $150 fine for the first 30 days and $7 a day thereafter not to exceed $2500 per year from the state of MD. there is NO grace period. just ask a few clients of mine that let their insurance lapse... only way around it is to report a stolen tag and get new ones issued, which is never fun.

Thanks for the info, now I know. Guess thats why I have never seen one for sale. Seen just about every province or state @ swap meets, flee markets, etc. Seen a couple of Maryland car/plates while we were in Florida in march. Then seen a truck from Maryland out here in Alberta, thinnking that guy is along was from home. Thanks for the help guys.
