Ball Joint Press Rental

Hi all, been a while. But I always know where to come for help.

Does anyone know where to rent a ball joint press for an 06 2500? Got the top one out but can't get the bottom. Need some advise. Many Thanks!

Borrowed/Rented one from the new Advance in Timonium. Not an OTC but pretty nice. The C part of the press looked like a Harbor Freight but the kit came with an excellent set of adaptors. And being able to set up perfectly made the difference. Too bad I had to kill 2 $200 bearings changing u joints.

Hey Rob how's it going?
I have the Harbor Freight press and master adapter kit. It works great and have done many ball joints. You should have contacted me before and used the Cave to do the job.
Make sure you lube up the bearing fits with anti seize before putting it back together. Makes it a lot easier getting off if you gotta get in there again one day.

Wow. Thank you very much Scott. Your kindness is much appreciated. Even though I only came over a few times the hospitality and friendship made me feel like part of the gang and that I would always be welcome. I almost PMed you for the next fixit day but after all the talk about how tough it might be to get the hubs out I wanted the truck somewhere that it could be stranded a while and not be a pita. And yes, the key to getting the BJs out is a good kit of adaptors, I'm sure yours have helped many. I used so much no-seize I thought about buying stock in No-Seize Inc. My shudder got fixed tonight. The rear rotors on the inside were delaminating like there was a layer of chrome or hard steel that wore through. I did not find anything odd like stuck sliders or pistons. And I always used Value Line pads from Keene. So I'm not sure why they wore so funny. Anyway, this time everything came from napa. Just need to find a way to get a grease fitting that you can get to into the bottom BJ. Thanks again Scott. Hope to see you all soon.
