Ready for some UPGRADES!

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum. Have driven Dodge Diesels for many years, but never done any kind of upgrades. I currently have a 2001 24V 2500 2wd. I pull a 28' 5th wheel and a 30' gooseneck horse trailer. I am considering making a few modifications to the truck and thought I would start with a modification to the stock air box to increase the cold air intake. I’m leaning towards the do it yourself version….cutting a hole in the firewall and using an RV dump hose to channel more colder air into the air box. I have a K&N air filter but am considering switching to something else; I have heard they are not good for the turbo. Any suggestions would be welcome.
