Noob From Oregon
Was reading through some links on tuning a Cummins and ran across a few here. Been doing quite a bit of reading here ever since so I decided to join up.
I recently purchased a 2017 Ram CTD 2500 Laramie in Delmonico Red, taking it home on March 31st. It replaced a 2014 6.4L HEMI 2500 Big Horn that was totaled by an inattentive Phord F150 driver who blew a stop light at 40mph and took out my black beast. Here's a before and after of that truck: https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.die...7653fc572a.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.die...3155ebf502.jpg It's been a LOOOOOONG time since I've owned a diesel so I'm gonna act like I know nuthin' about diesels and how to tune them. Here's the new one with a few mods already done: https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.die...1e74f5d95c.jpg Anyway, I'm glad I found this forum and I am sure the tuning info here will be of great help to me as I research tuning options and results. Thanks for having me. |
If you want to preserve your warranty leave the engine stock. A BD throttle sensitivity booster is supposed to help with torque management. I don't know if this can be picked up by the dealer tech.
BD Throttle Sensitivity Booster 07-17 Cummins / 11-17 Powerstroke. Enjoy the truck! |
Glad you weren't hurt in that fender bender. Maybe a little duct tape could have fixed it right up??
Lol Nice choice for a new ride |
Thanks.
Yeah, a little duct tape and a bit of rubbing compound woulda been all I needed to fix it up. :D |
