Newbie here only
Well hello people (I would say guys put I'm sure you got some women here too), I'm not new to this kind of forums. I just left another forum for just 6.7L Cummins and thought it's a great site. But I had to downgrade to a 5.9L cause of it having a drinking problem. I had a 2007.5 Ram 2500 Laramie w/ a 6.7L, 4x4, 3.73 rear end and exhaust brake. I was getting around 10mpg in the city (EGR plugged in) w/ it unplugged I was getting about 13mpg! On the hwy after about 7hrs doing around 65 to 70mph I got 17.8.
My new to me truck I bought about two weeks w/ over 97,000 I'm now getting around 17mpg in city and around 25mpg on the hwy. and I'm sure that number would get higher if I just drove longer.

Cause I already added a Banks ram air w/ superscoop and the wife didn't want me to spend anymore money on it. Besides this truck is a smoother ride and I can tow 500 more lbs than w/ the other truck. It's a bit more louder than the other but if I put my foot down and get the RPM's over 3,000 I can blow black smoke all over the one's who drive a gaser! But mostly I try to keep my RPM's at or below 2,000 (@ start-up from red light) to keep my 17 in the city.
