OoooooRAh!!!!

Hey: I see from your screen name you are a Marine. Once a Marine always a Marine! Thank You for your service. I had bad knees and really bad alergies to Mold and could not serve during Nam. All my buds from High School came home under the flag except one so now I ride with the Patriot Guard. It is my way of doing now what I could not do then. No one ever gets spit on again during my watch!!!!!!:flag:

Thanks, brother. I am a member of the PGR, but there are never any rides close enough or on days I can make it...

Cool: Yuma!!!! Too **** hot!!! Sorry you don't get missions you cna make very often. I know it does my heart good to be there on their internment day and it helps and is really gratifying to have family members hug us and thank us. I have been on over 200 missions now and I still get tears at TAPS.

HI There!

Hello everyone. I'm new here and just wanted to say HI and ask for your advise! I have a 2006, 2500 SLT extended cab with a 8ft bed. I bought it new and is compleatly stock with 40,000 miles on it. Well to make it short I got hit in the drivers side rear and I think it is time to start to have some fun with this truck. I would appreciate all advice in not what to buy and what not to do. I am a welder/blacksmith with 34 years experience and would like to fab and put a flat bed and front brush gaurd on it. If anyone has photos of there's I would love to see them. I also would like to put a single black stack on it and am looking at a K&N Air intake. Is this a good choice and what type of exhaust would you all recomend. Thanks!

Hey, hwhii...

You need to post your own intro some people can meet and greet you:

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...ople-f159.html

The first couple of posts will help you out in the 'how to' department.

Afterward, you need to post in the third gen section to get some advice on your truck...

Don't use a K and N. They let too much crap through.

Cutting a few holes in the stock air box, removing the baffles in the intake tube, and getting the upgraded dodge stock 4" filter is just as good, if not better than most aftermarket setups.

hth.

Thank you mad. Will do!

RoadCannon1 09-05-2011 06:54 PM

Hi Madhat: Could you please explain the 4" upgrade for DOdge Airbox? I can't seem to fond anything on it and I know K&N is NOT The wayto go as you said I have had too much trouble with other apps. THANKS in adv for your help.

RoadCannon1 09-05-2011 07:15 PM

Hi Madhat: Never mind I finally found it. Not from Dodge but heavy duty for dust like we have here in western CO and about $345. Thanks anyway.

RoadCannon1 09-05-2011 07:16 PM

Thanks Lil Dog!!! So is the Smarty really worth it?

madhat 09-05-2011 08:36 PM

No, Dodge sells a new air filter for the stock air box, it's just an upgraded paper filter. They're not cheap, but they're only like 40 bucks.

And, the smarty is worth it.
