My name is Desert5600 and I'm a Cummins-holic.

Had a '94 12V 2500 until a few years ago that the wife bought new, but I always wanted a QC 6-speed. The BIL now has the 12V and I bought a clean '01 24V QC HO with an NV5600 a couple of years ago. It's my daily driver and we tow a lighter weight toy hauler along with using it as a pickup, as was intended.

Looks like a knowledgable, good group on this forum and I'm glad to be here.

2001 Diesel has issues w/starting
 

Hi, I'm up in Ottawa Canada and new to this website and the forum in general. I bought a 2001 Dodge Dually about a year ago and have had problems with it turning over but not starting. I had the fuel tank/lines cleaned out and the tank pump replaced and it ran for a while then stopped altogether. It turns over but does not start at all now and my buddy thinks it's the fuel injector pump.
Does anyone have any good ideas on where to buy a new or rebuilt that doesn't cost $2-3k u.s? Let me know! THX!! j [dummy]

Larry, thanks for all the good info but it might take me a while to go through all of that..there's a ton! If it is my injector pump..where is the best place to buy one(Rebuilt or new)? Many thx! :))..John

There are differing levels of quality when it comes to rebuilt pumps. I would have no issue with getting one from Bluechip they do it correctly...a lot of other places not so much.

If you start a thread in 2nd generation 24 valve there are a lot of guys in there that can help out with more info ;)
