My husband and I got back last night after closing the deal on an '06 2500. Pretty sweet truck with 33k for a pretty darn reasonable price. It's nearly bone stock (has bed caps and a rubber bedliner), even down to the 265 Michelins that will need replacing maybe around the end of the year. The window sticker was even folded up in the glovebox. It only came with one key from the dealer but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the 2nd comes in with the plates and registration. They key is that fancy Sentry lock type so I'll need to get familiar with that before I lock myself out.

I got 17.9mpg on the hwy trip down cruising at 65 (night time & stiff crosswind). I'm eager to see how the mileage settles out in the coming weeks and years for that matter. Not sure the gear ratio yet, I need to look again now that its daylight. It has the 11.5" rear end, 4wd on the floor and the Big Horn pkg.

I have plans for some doo-dads but it's hard to sneak mods past the bank account and the doesn't-modify-anything-hubby

All in all, I'm happy and feel pretty confident in the purchase and the truck. Now I'll need to read up on everything '06.

Looks like I better get my leather shop up and running again and start filling some orders. Hubby said something about my part of the income making the payments

Thanks again for the welcome and the info this far. I'll be around a lot more wearing out the search the feature.

Yall take care
