Won't turn over...

Won't turn over...

Truck wouldnt turn over this morning. What are some possible problems? Starter dosnt make a sound. Tried to jump off with a "single battery" car,but didnt budge. Thanks guys, George

Thumbs up Starter Contacts

See a few posts about bad starter contacts. From prior posts it is an inexpensive fix, $40 or less parts. Some labor I'm sure. Also try testing the batteries, yours are 5 years or so old if original and the CTD takes all the power you have to turn it over. Just a few ideas for you to check.

More than likely you need new batteries. Just one bad battery will pull down the other, always replace in pairs.
Most jumper cable aren't big enough to start a Cummins.

Thats good to hear. I believe they are the strock batteries. They have a mopar #, and they are being a booger to get out. Thanks, and I ll let you know how it goes. Now I need to figure out how to carry 2 batteries on my bike...

Okay, I got it. Well after looknig at the fuse block 15-20 times, I finally notice the one that says "STARTER". Dont know how I missed it, but I did. Thanks for the help!
