Possible bad transfer pump...P1693 doesn't tell me anything other then code is stored in the PCM... You need to pull code from ECM if there is one stored.

You need a OBDII code reader to read the other code. P1693 tells you another code has been set.

Does it run?

roadrage I would check the fuel volume from pump if you don't have a gauge. Replace fuel filter before test if it is not new... Disconnect fuel line at injection pump and run a piece of hose into a container. Bump starter, fuel pump will run...measure fuel in container ....should be 45oz min if below that you have transfer pump bad. Might need to do test several times to get accurate test result.

Bad VP44.

I do have a friend who had 0216 and replacing the lift pump ( it was dead ) cured, at least so far, the problem.

Check your fuel pressure.
