truck is missing and running rough
 

hey, today i just got done pulling a light load with my trailer and i went back to the barn and unhooked it and went down the raod to talk to my cousin, so i turned my truck off and talked a few minutes and when i started my truck it started missing and my air intake was trying to suck air in so hard that it started making a loud popping sound when i gave it gas. the more rpm's the faster the popping sound coming from my intake. so i decided to take it to the house and when i got there it wasnt popping as much but was still missing badly at idle... My engine temp and my oil pressure and all my other guages were in the normal range... it almost drove like nothing was wrong going about 55mph. Has this happen to anyone? thanks for any input. i need my truck by saturday so hopefully someone can help me out.... PLEASE!!! thanks for any sugg...

Popping and hissing through the intake is almost always the result of a failed injector. If you also had difficulty starting, then I would look for a galled pressure valve on the fuel rail.

thanks so much. that was one of the problems i thought it would be, i also thought it might be a fuel pump or a sensor going out! i hope it is covered under warrenty, i took my chip out and i have 35,450 miles on my truck... lets hope its covered. thanks again!!!
