Transsmision shifting erraticatally

Did anyone out there ever have this problem,I have a 2001 dodge ram 2500 with a 5.9 cummins diesel at about 48 miles an hour the trans shifts down and up I have checked and put in 2 tps still having same problem. The voltage readings are all what they should be, I can dissconect all power unplug tps and plug tps back in again recalibrate and works fine for 2 weeks to 5 or 6 months. I have been paying closer attention to it and seems to start acting up when i start pulling the fifth wheel trailer or plowing snow, might just be a coincedense. I think it it is torque converter lockup (Electrical) I have been told by some people that i need a filter on the pcm. I am getting very fustrated this has been going on for 2 years +

Use the search here and type in " transmission hunting", you'll find much reading. Many ideas to stop the electrical interference, but start with the simple, easy things to clear it up.

I cleaned the battery post and other electrical connections. Then wrapped alum. foil over the wire from the alt. to the pass battery. It quit hunting, and that was some time ago.
