The throttle cable was a recall on the '94. I had mine replaced today. Of course, I had already replaced the cable at my own expense previously. Now, I have two. If you were closer, you could have one.
Try a junk yard. Make sure you get the cable with the plastic coating.

Smokee, if you still have your receipt you can be reimbursed for the cable, no labor.
This holds true for all recalls you do yourself. Instructions are on the recall notice.
I replaced my cable before the recall happened and was reimbursed, think it was about $39. Dealer only item.

The recall was also for the linkage ends etc. mine had the cable linkage rod ends new spring.. Bought just the cable first and had to argue the fact that it was a recall. They stuck to their guns and I needed to get to work so I told them I would be back. Took the printed tsb with the recall and the statement that says that it will be replaced at no charge highlighted showed it to the parts/service manager. All he could say was ohh sh*t and gave me the kit and gave back the money for just the cable so now I have a spare.

HAHAHA...yeah, I have a lot of spare everythings....headlight switches, cables, ends, multi-function switch, TPS, and, I think, a computer somewhere.
I have never bothered to get the money back. As soon as I did that, I know that the part would fail again and I would have to pay for a more expensive one. However, I am soon going to be out of storage room.
