SMARTY HELP "Program Aborted error #42"

I went to set truck to "stock" with SMARTY (V4.14 R1.15) today and when the SMARTY got to 61%-97% (tried a few times) it aborted the program 'error #42" and left the truck in that state. NO START with the fuel pump going on and off.

I installed FASS afew months ago. Never changed the truck from SW5 before or after the FASS install. This is the first time I have tried to reprogram.

Took member's suggestion and removed fuses for FASS and ABS pump while programming and still get "program aborted" displayed somewhere between 61 and 97%

The recovery proceedure gives the same code

Please HELP!!

Can you re-load any of the sw#"s ? Or is it just not able to return to stock?

If it is just not able to return to stock, it could be likely the fass is confusing the Smarty because you did not return to stock before the upgrade to your fuel system(just thinking outloud here).

Either way you may have to contact bob, he can fix you up with a recovery program, try not to panic, probably something simple.

You may want to try getting the same ver software as you have now and reflash your smarty first then retry flashing your truck. Have you contacted Bob Wagner, he would be the best to answer you. You can also try disconnecting batteries for ten or so mins then trying again.

Just got off the phone with Bob W.

He instructed me to pull the FASS fuse and relay as well as the 2 ABS fuses, charge up the batteries and try again. with fuses out.

JJPage, I cannot load anything. It only wants to "restore to stock"

I am starting to wonder if my batteries are in need of replaceing eveen though they have never sounded weak. They are 3.75 years old
