Running rough no power

I have a 99 24 valve. Truck ran great last night. This morning I went out and started it up and noticed it was idling rough. I bumped the throttle thinking that would straighten it out and it made it rougher and no power. I have no idea what the problem is. Anyone have any ideas?

Turns out it was a VP-44 due to a lift pump failure. Only $1900 to replace both! Booo
