i just read this whole thing and didnt see that you ever tested your fuel system at max loaded full throttle. I read somewhere 4 psi is the minimum you would want to see. Having messed with this a little I think the idle test is pretty meaningless (as mentioned above). I wouldnt bother with a volume test either, just put a gage on it and have a pal watch the gage while you floor it going up a big hill.
