oil pressure problems

My friend has a 99 three quarter ton. He said that when he is pulling a loaded trailer on a hot day, he looses oil pressure when he comes to a hault. The guage drops and his oil light comes on for about five seconds. Then it resumes as normal. I think it is his oil pressure sensing unit. The dodge garage wants about $230 for a new one.

Go to a Cummins dealer, they're a lot cheaper.

Whatever he does, "Don't let the dealer reflash it!"

I fixed on in an older model. It costs about $15 and took me about 15 minutes. Not very tough. It was doing the exact same thing you are describing.
