Typically, they just push into the block. After getting all the bolts out of the supports, wiggle the tube in a circular motion and pull upward. Should come out with reasonable effort.

Easy out. Square drive usually works the best for me. You can try the spiral left hand drive type too. Man......for an 03 it shouldn't be that bad! Oooops! Missed the whole Canada part. Use a lot of salt up there eh?

Don't have to use salt since Mr. Gore's movie

no its not rusty, just doesnt want to come out, it wants to go downwards. Im gonna fish a wire through tommorow to see if i can push it through and pull it out the drain. if not, i guess ill undo the moor mounts and lift it enough to get the oil pan off to get it. The tube broke half way and then the twisting it broke it off flush with the block. It want to go in but not come up. i might also just drill it with grease and a magnet to get it all out.

Well i woke up this morning with an idea of fishing a wire from the dipstick tube to the drain plug in the oil pan. So i had to do an oil change 3000km early but after fishing the wire through(took about 30 minutes to get it) i hammered the rest of the tube down and it come down the wire right out of the oil pan onto the end of the wire. So now i just have to go and get a dip stick tube and im up and running.
