We put a 01-02 twenty four valve motor into my buddys 2000 Dodge 24valve ctd truck. After we installed everything it was time to crank it up. It took a while and we got it to finally crank and run. After a little while of driving it(hard or course) it died. Now when we turn the key over the lights in the instrument cluster come on but nothing else. The pump doenst run and the odometer says NO BUS. What does no bus mean. And could it be because we are using the harness that came on the motor which is an 01,02 and plugging it into a the trucks harness which is a different year? thanks for any help

 

Its more than likely the body control modual under the dash. mine did the same thing and that was the problem, I bet it wont start because the body control is what controls the anti theft.

 

would that cause the pump to not work.

 

im not 100% sure but i think it does, Dont hold that to me
