Need to reset 0234 code - how?

Disconnected batteries and the 1693 went away but the 0234 stays. What is the trick?

First question how did you set the code?

On my truck, it took about six start/drive/shutoff cycles before it would clear, once the problem went away. Disconnecting the batteries would not clear it on mine either.

How did I set the code? Good question.

I don't know how or when it got set. I don't drive it hard most of the time. Everynow and the I do "blow the carbon out of it". I noticed a while ago it seems to surge in 2nd and 3rd sometimes. Seems to be kind of flat in the other gears. I do have a 4" exhaust on it if that makes any difference. The truck only has 75k on it.

Thanks,
Dave

I had the same code on my 2002 HO. I fiddled with the harness that plugs into the MAP sensor and by the time I could get into the dealer the code had reset it self and the dealer could find nothing.

A question for the board -- If the MAP connection is bad will this set the code even though the boost is not high?
Thanks,
Jack

Thanks

I'll unplug it and reconnect it and see what happens.
