Need Help - Holley Blue pump

My Carter pump has died and I'm picking up a Holley Blue this afternoon to replace the Carter before my journey back to Utah. Does anyone know what fittings are required and what size fuel line our trucks have? I'd like to get any hardware needed at the same time.

Thanks, Chris

are you looking to replace the stock pump with the blue in the stock location, or are you moving it back to the tank? the line is 3/8" @ the tank, the banjos are m12X1.5.....if I remember right :confused:

Yep 3/8 flexible fuel line into 3/8 npt fittings, a few hose clamps and you will be good to :D

can you locate the holly at the oem pump location.. or do you have to put it close to the tank. would make my evening a lot less hektik right now

anything can be done that is why I asked you, you will get a longer more reliable service life if you put the pump by the tank it allows the pump to pump instead of suck. I have never put a holley in the stock location, but if you put it by the tank you will need;

a tubing cutter
a drill, bits, and center punch
asorted hand tools for fittings and bolts
a soldering iron
5' 3/8 fuel line
4 clamps
a pan to catch the dripping fuel from cutting the line
enough 12ga min wire to reach the pump from the stock harness-unless you are keeping the stock pump. if so you will need enough to go to the relay you install under the hood.

Original Location

I have my Blue mounted in the stock location. I used the supplied mounting bracket and some of that "hole punched angle" material, like you get at the hardware store. Bolted the bracket to the angle and bloted the angle to the stock pump location. Seems to work fine.

i just enede up putting it infront of the tank.ran a new circuit with a shut off switch under the dash.(1600$ i.p. better than lost truck). works so far havnt test driving it yet.but it primed right away and is getting pressure!.had to change it tonight i hit 3 psi while chasing a cheyanne down the freeway today ..so i finished it a few minitsd ago..i hope i didnt mess anything up!
