Low Power

Would a cracked in half stock exhaut manifold in 2 places cause power loss?

Probably depends on how much exhaust is pouring out of there. It could, but I wouldn't think it would be a dramatic difference. Exhaust gases drive the turbine wheels. If you lose enough then it could result in a power loss. I wonder did you get it way too hot or something? What cracked the manifold? And is there more damage that you maybe aren't seeing? Did you check for trouble codes? I believe you can do that in a '99.

2nd gen stock manifolds crack all the time depends on the size of the crack on how it would cause it. sounds more like a dying lp

Thanks for the replies, I got it from my Brother and don't know how long it's been cracked. One side is broke completley in half and the other has a 3 inch crack across the top, so I ordered an ATS. Just wondered if it could be the cause of some of my power loss, I know I need a fuel pressure gauge. Thanks and any more knowledge would be appreciated.
