Lots of white smoke... Injectors?
I have a 06 5.9 cummins and she just started puffing out white smoke and she is making a nocking sound when i get in it the tons of white smoke and a little black. Some of my diesel buddys here tell me that i have 1 or a few injectors going out or my fuel pump is week.
what is the recomended fuel pressure?
Should i go ahead and buy all new injectors and a pump?
IF so where sould i go and what kind should i get?
Dont have tons of power in the truck yet its a daily driver dont do a lot of towing with it. But i do tow some. i have taken it to the track a few times.
If i get new injector should i get a CP3?

I doubt your CP3 is going out.. I'd say injectors. From the looks of your sig, dual CP3's are little overkill

Had my mec. look at the truck on wed. and we spent about 10 min on it and found that injector 4 and 1 were bad and 5 was going. did a bench test on the lift pump and the pump is kinda week. so i am going with some 90hp injectors and a new fass pump dont know if i am going to go with a dual CP3 or not yet we will see what happens on the weekend when i get it back. ( everything is comeing form ATS and dynomite diesel.

My 05 had 2 injectors replaced at about 35000 miles, and it's blowing lots of white smoke again...going in the shop on Tuesday....my truck is stock.

They can say all they want, but I attribute the failing Injectors to a poor fuel filtration system.
Too many common rail guys with aftermarket fuel filter systems having good luck for me to discount.
Remember, it takes very, very little water or gunk to kill a CR Injector.
