Unhappy Lifter Pump Warranty Help

I have a dead truck... my lifter pump finally gave out at 97,000 miles. Does anyone know if this if covered under the Cummins warranty? My super duper service contract / warranty expired at 75,000 miles.

I trying to make the decision to either let the dealer handle it or swap it out with something better.

Thanks in advance...

Lift pump only?

Are you sure that it is just the lift pump that has given out?
I have heard that the truck will still run when the lift pump tanks. Then several thousand miles later the VP44 will go, then the truck won't run.
Call the dealership and see if they will honor this under warranty. The worst they can say is "No". Then you ask them if they want you to trade the truck in on a Pwrstroke????
Hopefully that will motivate them.

What year truck?

Different years had different lengths of warranty.

They were all 100,000 miles, but some were 5 years some were 7.

Yes, it should be covered if you haven't gone over the year limit.

Mine went out a few K miles ago and the dealer did cover it under warrenty. I didn't pay a dime and went on my happy way.
