Re:lift pump

Anything under 8psi is unacceptable.

Currently 14psi idle
12 cruise
11 WOT
How much fuel pressure should I get on a '99.
I believe you don't want any lower than 8psi at any time.

Basically, mine is about 13psi idle, 10 on average and 8 WOT. Anything lower than that is not good, so my lift pump is right on the border of making me uncomfortable. I think a pusher is in order once I figure out my starting problem.

Re:lift pump

Some have added "pusher" pumps and are running as high as 25 psi.
If you're not "BOMBing" too much 15 should be enough.

I'm using a 30 psi gauge.

Re:lift pump

I'm using a Dakota Digital 0-30 psi gauge. Make sure you take off the banjo bolt and put the stock one back on there before you take it in to Dodge, otherwise, they won't touch it. Personal experience.

BB,
Some dealers/service managers aren't as **** about piddly stuff as others.
I showed my gauge installs to my local Dodge Boys, and they had a real difficult time seeing where the Dodge ended and the aftermarket began.
I try to make my installs as invisable as possible
But I've been dealing with these guys since my "gasser" days.

Re:lift pump

I just got my FP gauge installed (dakota digital 30psi) and am seeing an average of 15.4 - 16 idle... 13-14 crusing/towing..... looks like it's running good, for now! ;D

Tony

EDIT: I was seeing 15.4 steady until I replaced all the Banjos w/ Ray's from Geno's Garage. Now I see 16's alot! ;D

Re:lift pump

I've got all of the bolts from Geno's also. I told the dealer to replace them if it didn't void the warranty. If it does void the warranty, I said don't bother. I'll send the unused gaskets and blots back to Geno's and get a refund on the package minus the cost of the tapped bolt and two gaskets.
