Leaking oil/lube at the half shaft

I noticed some oil/lube at the half shaft sleeve on the passenger side yesterday? Anyone ever hear of this?

It seems that your talking about the ft. axail , if so did you just have it apart for some reason ? if so then its tipical that a little is spilling out from that and should stop , and next time jack up the side your working on to help to keep it in the diff. then if it just started by itself then you've got a seal that needs replacing.

there are a couple of guys that i work with that have had problems with the front driveshaft leaking. i dont't really know if this is the problem you are describing, but dodge had to give one guy a new transfer case, the other guy caught the problem in time. no problems with mine though .

My passenger side leaks with 80K miles on it. I guess it's a tough job to replace too. It's on the CAD side. I've read you have to pull the whole axle apart including the carrier.

I replace the seals in a Toyota solid axle in about an hour, the 60 looks like an all day job. I'm just going to let it leak

Check to make sure that the breather tube is open allowing the assembly breathe, the secone thing is make sure that the axle is not overfull.
