Leaking Fuel??

my new 07 has had a "raw fuel" smell past couple of days, well today while i was warming it up, i saw dripping coming from the bottom of the bell housing area. upon better inspectin it looksw like it's coming from somewhere under the water seperator/filter area. there is a cooler of some type right below the seperator and the hoses to it are wet as well. i have checked all the fuel delivery lines and i can't find wetnees anywhere?? i will take it to the dealer but i'm suposed to go to sask for a wedding so if i could find the problem and point the tech in the right direction that would speed things up for me,other wise i have to rush around for new tires for my 05, any suggestions would be greatly appreceated.

chris.

Unless it is simple as a loose filter, you likely have the cold weather drool common to the CP3 pump. The shop will tell you in a minute which it is.

If it is the dreaded drool, the CP3 replacements are on a considerable back order as this is pretty much a universal problem in cold climates.

if it's an 07, drive it to the dealer. don't go to the service door, park in front of the sales door (leave it running and leaking) best on a saturday morning cause it's bound to be busy. Ask for your salesman, when he comes out tell him "i've got this terrible fuel leak, can you see where it's comming from?"

This will get there attention because they will be afraid you will keep comming back if they don't fix it right away.

Have you considered swapping the tires from your '07 to your '05 for the time it is in the shop? Hopefully you won't need to but thought I would throw the idea out there.

great idea but the 05 ia a SRW and the 07 is a dually, they git it in this morning and said it's not the cp3, just a fitting, said it wasn't pouring out enough to be the cp3, but they couldn't get it on the hoist for an hour so here i sit paitiently waiting.
