Installed new injectors and no start

Hi I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me out. I installed a brand new set of Industrial Injection 120's in my 07' 5.9. It tried to start yesterday but was pouring the white smoke and kept choking itself out. There was a loud knocking sound as well. So i stripped everything back down to make sure the valve clearances were all okay and they were and so I preceeded to take everything else back apart and re-torque. I put everything back together and torqued to specs and i torqued the delivery tubes to 44 ft pounds. This still didn't fix the problem. I re-torqued the delivery tubes to 37 ft pounds and still the same thing. My truck will only turn over and won't start now. There is still a knock sound and it puffs white smoke. Is there any way I could have got a lemon or two in my new injectors?

Bleed the fuel lines and you should be good to go. Crack the lines at the block and have somebody crank it over till fuel comes out. tighten and turn over and she should start with some effort. Let us know.

Do NOT crack the fuel lines on a common rail, the high pressures can severly injure anyone near. On pre CR trucks this is the way to bleed the lines, not on a CR though. I agree with Rpainter, check the sensor.

No you can bleed the lines! I've done it several times. All you do is open the injector line nut on 3 lines about a 1/8-1/4 turn

DDP states that YOU DO NOT have to bleed the lines. IT'S ALL SELF BLEEDING. Cracking lines WILL CAUSE severe injury.

The rail pressure sensor is plugged in correctly. I don't have the stock injectors anymore because i traded for these I have now. Thanks for the help, I think I just have a bad injector or two unfortanately.
