About to drive to out of state and in trouble, i have a 99 1 ton 4x4 with a five speed manual. i have a drag comp on it and my injection pump is about to take a crap. im looking at a VP44 Electronic Fuel Injection Pump Package With FASS Fuel System. im looking at the Fass 150 series high performance lift pump claims to handle over 500 horses with no problems in need thought. The price is 1631.66 for the whole package all parts included lines brackets everything. is it a good price and a good way to go?

 

Look into the avalanche system with the big line kit. I put one of those on my bosses truck and he will hold 19psi at idle and under load can't get it under 14psi with an edge juice w/ attitude, intake and exhaust on an 01 5spd. The avalanche system is cheaper and isn't as loud as the fass system. And if you really want the power instead of just buying a new VP get the hot rod or heavy duty VP for something like 200$ more (someone correct me if I'm wrong on that price)

The FASS is an excellent pump, and should not be noisy, and has a 6 year warranty. Also, hot rod VP44's are known to idle rougher, etc. than a stock pump.
