i may need a new starter...

hey guys....i recently started my truck and it made a nasty whirring sound and wouldnt start...so i looked down at the starter and noticed that a bolt was missing so it had 2 bolts intead of 3 and surprise!!...one of the corners for the bolt had cracked...so the starter was held by one bolt only....i kept the small piece that cracked off....anyways i put the bolt in the 2 good holes and tighten the sucker relaly well and it starts just fine

ok here's the question for the welder guys....can that little triangle be welded back on? (i have good welder friends) or should i be looking for a new starter just cause im now using 2 bolts? anyone know where i can get cheap starters?
i know fostertruck.com has them but they carry new ones....im looking to spend less than that price......

appreciate any help

Not sure about the welding. I guess it would depend if you have enough material to weld onto. Another thought would be JB Weld or some type of heavy duty apoxy if you don't have enough material.
