htb2 INSTALL PROBLEM

hey guys, iam trying to finish the install, but my stock metal 90 that clamps to the turbo wont slip inside the new turbo housing?? iam talking about the raised shoulder on the 90. can i not use the stock elbo?? thanks for any help mark

I am a bit confused. The 90 with the v-ring groove should butt up against the face of the corresponding flange with the v-ring groove on the turbo, and then the external clamp ring is what holds the two together. Nothing should fit inside the turbo.

thanks for the reply. on the inside edge of the v ring, there is a raised lip that fits into the housing of the turbo, alowing the rubber o ring to make contact with the turbo housing, then the clamp can be put on to hold the two together. i had to remove the o ring and hand file the outside of the raised lip and tapper it so it would fit. took about an hour to get it just right.

It sounds like you have an incorrect compressor housing for the Dodge application.
