taz1456

Welcome to the site. You should be able to find the address of the boot using the search. However, why not simply convert to a cable?
george

I understand a guy wants to fix something when it goes bad, but IMO I would leave it. And dont switch to a manual cable if the solenoid still works. The only thing that rubber boot does is keep out dirt and grime. If you cant find one, im sure you can come up with something to keep the dirt and grime out.

Re:fuel shutdown solenoid

i hear you about leaving it in . i have power to solenoid if relay works then power would get to the plug before solenoid right ? or is power from ignition then when you turn key would it then would relay react to pick up plunger ? i hear so much so i'm trying to limit what to look for

taz1456:
Turn your key to the run position and then lift the plunger manually. It should hold up.
If it does, first check the power going to the relay. At the pos terminal on the driver's side look for a short blue wire that goes into a harness after about 3". These supply the power to the "lift" side of the relay. They have a habit of corroding off.
Next, unplug the fuel relay from the firewall (closest one.) replace it with another relay from the power centre aned try it.
Good luck.
george
