does anyone know what size wrench it takes to take off the fan clutch on an 03 comman rail and does it turn clockwise or counter clockwise looking at it from the front of truck

IIRC, it is a 36 MM? Also, the threads are your standard right handed variety... lefty loosey, righty tighty. If you don't have the wrench to hold the hub pulley, usually a punch will work to knock the big nut loose.
