engine shut down at fuel throttle
engine shut down at fuel throttle
i had the injection pump replaced with a remand one from oregon injection. the truck ran great for about 2 weeks then every time you put it to the floor it downshits and acceleratses and then shuts of. i have to put in neutral and start it back up but i have to either pump or hold the pedal. it is a 92 3/4 ton dodge diesel. it has about 400000 miles on it and the pump has about 300 miles on it. i am up for suggetions
Have you checekd the simple stuff first? the wiring at teh FSO and for leaks at the lift pump, filter and the lines/injectors?
How is it starting back up? will it fire right back up after shutting off?
I am thinking the FSO is engaging somehow... search under Fuel Shut OFF selinoid for info on it.......

Either the shutoff solenoid is doing it (probably caused by a linkage issue), or the linkages are improperly connected/adjusted... there's more than one way to physically connect them.
Someone with a runaway recently had this problem up on the board, do a search and you'll find some pertinent info with drawings, etc.
I think Infidel was one of the helpful contributors.
