coolant temperature guage

This will be for Canadian Ram owners. I have a 1999 24V 3/4 and pull a 5th wheel RV weight approximately 8500 lbs. When I first started pulling the RV the guage hardly went over 90c, but after the dealer changed all the fluids on my truck this time out the temp went well past the 90c and to the next mark which I expect is 100c. The truck worked great and when I stopped the temp went down and then slowly increased with driving. I'm interested if anyone knows what I should expect to see on the guage and if the temperature is too high.

Thanks

Re:coolant temperature guage

Have never towed anything with mine but it always runs just over the middle line on the temp gauge about a needle width.

Re:coolant temperature guage

Was having the same problem, just had a new thermostat installed but have not been able to test yet, but my brother had the same problem and a new thermostat fixed the problem.
