4doogie, It was only a week ago that I didn't know where the intake air sensor was. After studying my Haynes manual that covers a little bit of all Ram motors (there is probably a better manual out there) I found the intake air sensor on top of the intake manifold (driver side of motor) toward the firewall. You will see a sensor threaded into manifold, pull the wires and use a deep socket to remove. Mine was packed with carbon soot, I just tapped it with a screw driver and after all the carbon fell out I could see the actual sensor element when I was done. It took me all of 10 minutes (I'm an amateur mechanic) and the check engine light has not come on since. Good luck, let me know your results!

thanks, i didnt want to un-do the wrong thing. i would scrap the whole thing but that seems to be to much work. thanks again i will let you know if it works
