Check Engine Light

Yesterday i went out and cleaned off the truck. It was idleing for about 15 minutes while i cleaned it off. The truck ran fine, and everything was good. This morning i went out and started the truck and it threw the check engine code as soon as it fired up.

I have a 94 ram 1500 and you could turn the key three times and read the flashing check engine light. I did that on my 06 ram 2500 and it flashed 10 times in a row then stopped. Is there a code 10?

Could someone tell me how to show and read the fault codes with the check engine light? Maybe i am doing something wrong.

I am planning on taking it to the dealer tomorrow, but any help would be appreciated. I want to make sure its nothing major.

Duh!!!

After looking at the odometer i read the code P0111 (Intake Air Tempurature Sensor Rationality).

I called the dealer last evening and they said it wasn't a huge deal and made an appointment for next week.

Would this sensor cause major issues if the truck is still run?

I've never have gotten the 0111 intake air code but I usually get the 0514 & 0071 battery temp & air temp rational. They usually go away after a few normal starts. Mine usually go way in a few days. I bought an Actron OB II scanner from Auto Zone, just to view the codes when they come up. You can clear the codes with it but I just let them go away on their own. Sounds normal assuming it's a daily driver and it goes away in a few days. I usually get my temperature codes in the spring & fall, once or twice a year when temperatures swing up and down.
