Check Engine Light!!!!

I heard what sounded like mud/sand kicking up from under my truck (dry paved road), it lasted too long to be mud/sand. Immediately after, check engine light appeared. After bumping these codes P0483 and P0336. Any ideas? The truck seems to run fine. Thanks.

Do a search and find out what the codes mean. It definately sounds like something came apart so I'd spend some time crawling around under the truck before I drove it to look for something amiss. Don't rely on the fact that it still runs - a serious breakdown could be just around the corner. On the other hand it might be simple. Just research the codes and look until you are satisified that you know what happened.

I would say your serpentine belt is comin apart

P0483...fan speed

P0336...crank position sensor signal

fan belt might have took out your sensor

Sounds like you ran something over in the road... did this sound continue till you pulled over? Any debris under there?

I would inspect the area underneath to see if I ran something over that would have knocked something loose. Then, pour another cup of coffee.

I didn't run over anything. I didn't pull over either. I will check the belt to see if it came apart. I also just had the truck in for a problem yesterday. The front right diff is leaking, fluid is jet black. I just had all my fluids replaced about 4,000 miles ago. Dealership ordered seal, come to find out the whole diff has to be removed to the left side to replace the right. Now I have to wait for the left seal to come in. UGH!!!! Could this cause the driveshaft code? Thanks....

I had the exact same thing happen to me today, same sound like pavement hitting the bottom of the truck and same p0336 code.
