Both batteries boiled over and code p0622

Checking oil this morn noticed both batteries had boiled over. Hooked smarty up only code is p0622. Have already looked at the previous post on this code and still stumped. Do i need a new alternator, batteries, PCM or just take my TC lockup switch out and put relay back.

I'd say start with the alternator.

Usually you'll get a code for the battery temp sensor,
the PCM should have told the alternator to stop charging once the battery temp got up there.

No temp code, no overcharging code, could be the PCM, but you'd see other symptoms I'd think.

I'd say start with someone who can diagnose the prob. At this point you don't even know what target voltage was. What was the JTEC seeing for voltage vs the alt output? Many unanswered Q's need to be addressed.......or you can throw parts at it.

Ya, don't just go out and buy an alternator, take it to Autozone or Pep Boys or similar and have it tested.

P0622 Alternator Field Improper Switching
indicates some fried diodes.

Thought I would give u an update. Removed my T/c lockup switch and took jumper out of fuse box and put relay back in yesterday. No codes as of yet. Dont see how those could be connected but has seemed to work.
