Good additional information, it is definitely the turbo.

When the bushings start to go the ceramic oil seals in the turbo get egg shaped holes where the shaft runs. When the engine idles down the exhaust pressure drops low enough that the oil pump is able to push oil out the exhaust side of the turbo. Therefore, you will smoke like a chimney at extended slow engine speeds, at any time you power up off idle, or at cold starts. It will clear up as the exhaust pressure rises and keeps the oil back in the turbo.
