bad rod barrings

bad rod barrings

i think i have bad rod barrings, how hard is it to change on a 2nd gen? do i need to take the engine all the way out?

Once you spun a bearing, total dis-assembly, overhaul, and reassembly is required. It'll have a distinctive knock and you will still have oil pressure cause the bearing welded itself to the crankshaft.

Spin a bearing......turn the shaft it was on. Break her down and do it right.
