91 ctd start, stall won't start back up???

started my 91 ctd this morning to warm up before moving it as it was 2 degrees out very cold. truck started and ran for about 30 seconds and shut off won't re start but is getting fuel as fuel smoke out tailpile. i use schaeffers fuel additive/ anti gel and i cracked the valve at the bottom of fuel filter and fuel came out cleanly. what is there electrical that could cause the engine not to run??? ignition switch fail while it was running? any help would be appreciated.

First, see if you've got fuel at the injectors. If you don't, there is a fuel solenoid on the pump, with one wire. You should have 12 volts with the key on.

i have fuel at the injectors, key on 12 volts. i think the fuel froze or gelled in the line somewhere. i put it in my shop which i keep at 60 24/7 all winter long. last night i hit it an it acted like it wanted to try and start. i figured i'd let it thaw overnight and hit it this morning. i'll update later today whether it started or not.

Did you have a lot of fuel at the injectors or just a little dribble?

got it running today. i cracked all 6 injectors and got air out of 4 of the 6. i rolled it over with the injector nuts loose, tightened everything back up hit the key and it started up immediately. fuel lines must have froze up between inj. pump and the injectors. kind of pisses me off as i use schaeffers winter blend anti-gel additive religously at every fill up. must be a waste of money i'll think twice before i use that stuff again. i changed the fuel filter while i was at it too for good measure.
